FUR

Nicole Kidman For me has always been a bizzare or queer thing to think of.Either as a personification of an Idol Ideal for teenage masturbation specially when in red gown or as a dream wife for the flock of young single men.But her case is more than sheer sexulity or sexofantasia of teenage school boys at least if you could see her nude body in Kubrick's " Eyes Wide Shut "which is more in lesbosian shapes rather being a hot chick with feminin characteristics like ZetaJones .
Anyway what drives me to write now, is nor her muscular and unerotic hips neither her smaller than normal blossoms.
Ofcourse what I would like to talk about is her latest role in a very specific movie which I could watch a few days ago.
In the "Fur" she, again played a suicidal role of another female artist here DIAN ARBUSE.
After Stephen Daldry's successful movie "The Hours" which Kidman played Virgina Wolf's role(another suicide doomed charachter) she appeared in the "FUR" as a photographer .

UN-measurables

In London ,you pay about 6 $ for a Big Mac, in Bangkuk you pay about 3 $ and in Beirut you pay a little bit less and blu blu blu...
And what is it about ?Could an Index like big mac price indicate the structural realities of an economy? Some people and some institutions say yes.Thats why they coined the terms like GDP ,GNP , etc.
In New Delhi with 5 dollar you get a good lunch in a decent restaurant but in london or in Newyork no, never(of course if you enter a Marks&Spencer you can buy a digestive biscuits and ,,,ok i am not sure if still 5 $ is enough for a pack of digestive )
Discrepancies between these economies is not a simple thing that could be measured with the indices like Big Mac (as The Economist tries to convince us) or a pack of biscuits or even a perfect Lunch in Banglor or Edinburgh or Kabul.
In paris you drink your cofee in an ambient sexy cafe' in Newyork you do the same in Starbucks lounges, in Tehran you drink Chaii(persian word for tea) in an old 19th century stylish ghahve-khaneh (persian word for Tea-house).
So all the places around the world peolpe eat much the same or perhaps better to say do the very same.
Thats a good point and thats why people (people here means economists) apply some jargons like GDP or GNP or GDP per capita ,,,
But though the resemblense of human activities in different society is a good point in coining global benchmarks like GDP's but it lacks a very critical content .
Now it is a common fact that the real content of any human activity is something more than a computable figure. The truth is that in the modern way of economics thinking we don't and can not calculate very internal feelings of people which is a very and essential outcomes of any human activity.
As I have said in a previous blog our incomplete scientific advances (ofcourse we can't say completely why we are such a desperate miserable creatures because if we could say , then we wouldn't)is a good assistant to find the way and sheild agianst the misery of unknowns. But our some acheivements makes us so arrogant that we forget we are just incomplete animals with incomplete flair to know .
The GDP is the same .These days I see the term so much that It became abhorrent to apply it in its right place.
GDP and GDP percapita is becoming another myth , like all the mythes we humankind are prone to believe in .However guys like Amartya Sen tried to change the common beliefs on the issue but we still see it around .So for now we have another term coined for this purpose , PPP or purchase power parity which is basically based on the BigMac price comparison model or very much like that.
So GDP 's and these types of jargons are void of the real contents of life ,realitis like happiness , sorrow and love and abhorrence...
So you, American or Norwegian or German or a native of any rich country , don't rely on the figures or on your Subzero or Wolf appliance equipped American kichtens instead ask yourself ,Am i really happy with my new Lexus or Hummer? And if your not you have two choices ,either watch the new car ads or think about the style of your life. But GDPs don't tellyou the truth or at least all the truth .
In india you can be happy with 500$ monthly income but in Los Angeles that couldn't be called income at all.
I will continue this debate more.

No Land's Man

No Land's Man

This world will grow cold,
a star among stars,
one of the smallest,
this great world of ours
a gilded mote on blue velvet.
This world will grow cold one day,
not even as a heap of ice,
or a lifeless cloud,
it will roll like an empty walnut round and round
in pitch darkness for ever.
For now you must feel this pain,
and endure the sadness,
but so loved this world
that you can say,
'I have lived'.

A PILGRIM IN THAILAND

A PILGRIM IN THAILAND
Thailand was hot.It' air,its food, wow and it's girls, and its wonderfull insomniac nights .Its everything was hot, everything was cool too. It's noodle soup ,it's teenage scanty wearing girls ,its traffic jam and its tuk-tuk carriage.I just arrived in Bangkok at 28th of November around 4 :00 pm.Its neat airport was so much different to the one I flew from(Imam Khomeini Airport). Now I was in Bangkok International Airport .First of all its style of architecture caught my eyes .It was a cold combination of concrete and steel, and based on Ideas of two of my friends Arash and forouzandeh, who both are Architect, that was a well done job. It was huge , and somehow cold but not Sexy.May be because I compare it to the ambient of Heathrow or even Gatwick .In London's airport you could always see a real sort of life .Something of modern age, a boiling traffic of man which is pressed by a shattering burden of what is outside the building ,but in bangkok I didn't feel such a thing. There was not such a modern feeling though the building was so, and there was not impressing signs of devastating and shatterng pressures of modern life.It was all tourists like the pligrims who just came to attend a relegious convention .It might be a Shopping religion it might be a sightseeing religion or it might be Sex religion.I was there, not as a member of any particular religion but as a wanderer who flies here though and there.Thoughts were passing through my head and I just opened my eyes and saw many Russian tourists around all in different ages .They were young, they were old they were kids and blond girls. All in one queue standing in checking out gate. There were also many chinese people there .Chinese tourists are coming too.Could it be another shock to the modern economy ?China for a long time of 20th century was stunning because of it's huge size of population and its governements secrecy.I Just thought if they could earn enough money to travel around ?So then if they could go and emigrate around ,then they will change the demographic morphology of the world population .It would be the biggest shock in history after Great Industrial Revoloution. And chinese are doing so.They are everywhere and I can't get out of thier sight even in my bathroom or visversa. An anxious young thai woman was checking the passports ,I show her my passport and while filling a form which I had to submit there I found an ambigious question, then I dared and asked her about ,but whether she knew english or not she grumbled and I just resume in my writing.Outside the airport was hot it was 38 C while Tehran when I was leaving that chilly morning of autumn was about -4 C .And it was humid ,though I didn't check humidity .We run to the bus and I took my seat there..........

Greasy Nights

Tourists ,tourists,Chinese ,Chinese,Russians and Russians .That was what you could see in Bangkok airport .I have never seen so many oriental faces in a same time in a same place before that.We got the luggage and raced to the out gates. There, we saw our Thai tour guides, a pettite woman which was smiling as those mechanical smiles you see in EastAsian countenance and two young guys which one of them was muslim and amazingly he could speak persian fluently. We passed the gates out and wow I felt the hot spot and fighting club zone there .The Bangkok for the first time .It seemed that Bangkok like a hot girl tries to show you how energic it is and how she can provoke you to confess her warmth. It was like a dizzy night in august in Kish or in Dubai .And there was a very odd and unexprienced scent of something greasy in the atmosphere .A comtraveler jokingly imputed the scent to the oil which Thais extract from dogs body and use it for cooking.Though it was not true .But I could imagine it was something related to the Thai cuisine although I don't know exactly what it was .All Iranian tourists got on the bus then we left the airport to the Hotel .After more than half an hour we reached the hotel which was a tall and 40 some tier sky-scraper in the heart of Bangkok. After check-in we got the keys .It was a mediocre Hotel and there were plenty of Russians around specially in the lifts.I was obsessively tempted to strat a conversation with young Russian girls but I didn't dare.I don't know why.We entered the room .My roomate was a guy from Tehran whom I urged him to join the Thai Travel .
